Is there a minimum stay?
A minimum two-night stay may be required. Longer stay may be required at holidays. The reservations staff will advise you when you make your reservation.
What is check-in and check-out time?
Check In: 4 p.m. Check Out: 12 p.m.
What is the minimum age required to rent a unit?
You must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
What is The Hollows cancellation policy?
We require 50% of the stay for deposit at the time of booking. If you choose to cancel this reservation outside of 7 days prior to your arrival day, there is no penalty for the cancellation. Should you cancel within 7 days of your arrival date, your deposit is non-refundable.
Do you have monthly rates?
Yes. Reservations of more than 30 nights must be booked by the resort's Front Desk staff directly. Such stays cannot be booked online.
Do you offer any discounts?
None such as AARP or AAA; however stays of more than 30 nights give you discounts from our best nightly and weekly rates.
Are you affiliated with RCI or other exchange program?
No. The Hollows is not a timeshare/interval ownership resort.
What do I need to bring with me?
We provide the basic in-unit amenities that upscale hotels provide, such as towels, bed linens, luxury soaps and shampoos. In addition, we provide one hair dryer per rental unit. In addition, each unit includes a washer and dryer.
We recommend you bring the essentials that you always take with you when you travel, such as clothing, medications, sunscreen, etc.
You may wish to stop by a grocery store on your way to The Hollows and pick up specific food and drink items you will want during your stay. All housewares are provided in our fully-equipped kitchens.
What about Housekeeping?
If you would like daily or weekly housekeeping services during your stay, please contact the Front Desk to arrange. Such requested housekeeping services start at $100 per cleaning, depending on the size of the unit.
Do you have Smoking Units?
All of our casitas, cottages and villas are designated as non-smoking.
Is there WiFi access at The Hollows?
Some villas, cottages and casitas have Internet access; WiFi access is available at our Beach Club and at our Marina.
Do you allow pets?
We have limited availability of units that allow pets. If you would like to bring your pet, please make this request at the time you make your reservation. The Reservations staff will do its best to secure a pet-friendly unit for you. No pets over 24 lbs are allowed. If we do not have a pet-friendly unit available, you may choose to board your pet at a veterinary boarding facility in Lago Vista.
What's the difference between a Casita, Cottage and Villa?
A casita is a free-standing home on a lot of its own with an attached garage. A cottage is a free-standing cabin-style home with no garage. A villa is a residence in a multi-residence, multi-story building, like a condominium. Villa buildings have elevators; casitas and cottages do not.
How far is it to Lake Travis?
Our resort is on Lake Travis. To get to our marina, called Northshore Marina, from our Beach Club, turn left onto Lantern View and you'll end at the tram that will take you to the Marina. For swimming in Lake Travis, there is beach access located at the Beach Club.
How far is it to Downtown Austin?
Downtown Austin is about 50 minutes from The Hollows.
How is the parking at a casita?
Parking at a casita is the same as parking in the driveway of a house.
How is the parking at a cottage?
Some cottages offer covered, single carports and some cottages offer uncovered parking.
How is the parking around the villas?
Parking for villas includes uncovered parking spaces directly across from each villa building. For rentals of 30 days or longer, the rental includes a private garage located under the villa building.
Are there places to eat at on the near The Hollows?
First of all, you don't want to miss great Texas cuisine at our own Beach Club Grill. If you prefer to leave the property, our Front Desk staff will be happy to provide direction to local restaurants. The closest off-property restaurants are in Lago Vista and Jonestown, which are about 5 to 10 minutes away.
What kinds of activities does The Hollows provide? Is there a cost for these activities?
We provide activities that appeal to every age range and activity level, from making tye-dyed tee shirts and sand art to family relays and ice cream socials.
Some examples of scheduled, supervised activities are The Hollows? favorite s?mores, kite flying, family relays, ice cream socials, soda pop floats, walking, and kayaking on Lake Travis. All scheduled activities are facilitated by an adult Activities Assistant.
In addition to the allure of Lake Travis and its water activities such as boating, kayaking, swimming and fishing, The Hollows offers two pools, hot tubs, a network of hiking trails, a restaurant, and a fitness center.
Most of our scheduled activities are complimentary; however, food-and-beverage-based activities may have a nominal charge.
Legal guidelines require that all children under 6 years of age must always be accompanied by an adult.
Are there activities at night where you can drop off kids and then parents can go to dinner?
Not at this time.
What about babysitting services?
We have a list of local babysitting services that are licensed and bonded that you may call at your convenience. Please ask our Activities Director or Front Desk staff.
